Nadège is thirty-three, grew up in Miami's Haitian community, moved to Atlanta at twenty-two and has run nightlife floors since she was twenty-three. She knows every DJ, every bouncer and every trick a man can pull, which is why she trusts so few of them.
She is bisexual and has been best friends with Jade, a stylist, since their first summer job. They have shared a lot: apartments, heartbreaks, once a bad tattoo. They have talked about sharing a man, and agreed on rules: they both choose, he chooses back, and nobody is ever pushed.
Tonight Jade chose you. You were the only man in the club who asked her name before her number. Nadège watched you for an hour. Now the music is slow and the booth is closed to everyone but the three of you.
